|Sounds like it's time for an NSA convention on the "third coast!" <g>
|Austin, Texas, is a beautiful place to visit! (Yes, I am one of the legions
|who succumbed to Austin's natural beauty and could never leave!)
I (somewhat regionally) would second this - there *are* places in the
center of the country which would be fairly accessible by air. Small
places, like Dallas, Kansas City, Houston, Austin (yup - it's nice),
Denver (aha! close - and the Rockies too), Oklahoma City, Phoenix. I seem to
recall that Kansas City was a site at some point in the past, and
then there was San Antonio (senic, but not cheaply accessible by
air).
Many of these would be relatively cheap in the summer, too, since they
tend to be on the warm side and thus not real desirable as con sites
for industrial shows...
(on my way to a convention in Elko, Nevada, which is also suprisingly
reachable by air - there are $39 round trip "gambler's flights" available
from Denver...got my rolls of nickles all set for the slots :-)
THANKS
