Slides vs Prints

Alan asked about slides vs prints. Well, I have just started taking
3D pictures myself and can tell you slides are better. I am having my
first slide roll done this week at Kodalux. I have previously had a
roll of prints made. Prints are bulky, just as much trouble to mount,
and probably cost more to do than slides. With slides you just send
them in and Kodalux (or somoene) does the rest.
Some people mount their own slides (I think most of the people on
this mailing list). I just want to have fun taking pictures and don't
want to mess with mounting them.
As far as worrying about exposure, a light meter can solve your
problems I bet. I just got a Gossen Super Pilot for around $40 off of
the internet (Online Camera Exchange - which also lists STEREO
CAMERA'S ).
To tell you the truth, my Realist did very well with just my guessing
at what all the settings should be. The negatives looked very good.
One last thing, with prints they can mess up the exposure (make one
print look light and the other dark). It doesn't look to bad in
stereo, but it doesn't help things either. With slides both pictures
come out the same!
