The real question is not so much how are you going to shoot your pictures, but
rather how are you going to LOOK AT them? Stereo pictures are usually shot as
slides because the Realist format is pretty much the standard and the only real
way to look at them are either through a viewer or by projection, both of which
require slides. With prints, you can use the View Magic viewer, whose only
specification is that your prints be no more than 4" high. There's also the
old-fashioned stereo card approach--mounting two prints on a 3-1/2 x 7 card and
using a Holmes viewer or something compatible. So you see, there are ways of
viewing both slides and prints. You just need to make sure that you know where
you're going before you start. It makes the journey much easier!
