Don't mix up lenticular pictures and PHSColograms! The latter are
barrier strip stereograms, which _might_ be easier to make in a
home lab (sorry, I've only a tiny black & white lab, and not very
much experience).
I'm sure there are some wizards out there which could do it. This
is the basic scheme how barrier strip stereograms work:
---- ---- ---- ----
aaaabbbbaaaabbbbaaaabbbbaaaabbbb
"aaaa" and "bbbb" are vertical strips (undistorted) of left eye or
right eye views, respectively. There is some space between the image
(i.e. made of transparency film, back-lit), and the actual barrier-
strip (---- ----), which is made also on film, with small vertical
lines on it (could be easily done with a computer and output on a
(Linotype) imagesetter).
Did anybody of you do any succesful experiments? I'd love to hear
from them. If the basics are clear, a computer whiz-kid (no, not me,
I'm none!) could write some software to take scanned-in stereo pairs
and "cut" and interleave the vertical strips.
