Re: 3Discover
>>>panoramic 3D viewer from Canada.
>From George's description I ask, what is panoramic about it?
I wondered myself why Peter called it panoramic. It is regular full-frame twin SLR pairs, shot with regular or longer lenses. There is nothing panoramic about them other than the fact that we are not used to seeing full frame 35 mm pairs with rather short FL viewer lenses (I tried to estimate with focal length using a ruler... it appears to be shorter than 50 mm, possibly 45 mm?, quite remarkable for full-frame viewer)
Under second examination I would like to change the statement that it covers the full-frame image "rather comfortably" to "rather tight". Users without glasses barely make the entire image. Those with glasses on will have to shift their eyes around. Still, not bad considering what is being achieved here... Being used to the Realist format, what I see here certainly looks panoramic to me!
>The other question is, how much does it cost?
I think it was under $60 for the set with the viewer and two cartridges. I'll check the details and post more information later.
George
