Limbacher book
Here's the full citation on the Limbacher book. I bought my copy in Larry
Edmunds Cinema Bookshop, Hollywood CA, in 1974. If I ever see another
copy, I'll surely buy it and offer it through the list.
James L. Limbacher
"Four Aspects of the Film: 3-D, Color, Sound, Widescreen"
Brussel and Brussel
80 Fifth Avenue
New York NY 10011
1968; no ISBN number
The book has a 58-page chapter on "Depth"and a comprehensive filmography
of 3D films. BTW, in thumbing through this book today, I noticed I had
inserted the LA Times ad for the premiere of the film "Frankenstein". It
reads as follows:
Andy Warhol's FRANKENSTEIN. A film by Paul Morrissey in 3D - Rated X.
World Premiere Wednesday (May 8, 1974). Avco Center Cinema. Three-D
effects by SPACEVISION.
I was at the premiere. As I recall, the projection used an over/under
prism, with both L and R frames on the same film. It gave me a headache.
