Realist viewers.

Regarding obtaining the best viewer to appreciate 3d slide views.
I would like to know what the Red button uses for optics.
Does it use the same lenses as the Realist camera and if not,
why not? I have read (and this is theoretical so I would like
to hear from people with practical experience on this matter,
Dr.T) that the best viewer optically would be a viewer that used
the same lens as the camera uses.
