I visited Sam's site last night and, what can I say, I was very impressed
by the selection of home-made stereo cameras.  Impressed and at the same
time depressed... I don't have the skills to do anything so complicated...

Sam, I loved the EYE (anaglyph of an eye taken with one of Sam's macro
stereo cameras).  I always wanted to take a picture like that.  I have
forced and tortured my children to sit still while I am trying to focus my
SLR and macro lens on their eye, begging them not to move between the two
exposures.  Despite all my threats and swearing (or because of it?) it
never worked out... I guess I need better tools...

PS.  Thanks for the link to the importers of microsocopes and cameras from
Russia.  I found out that my beloved stereo microscope, the one that I
bought for $700 from our microscope service man at work, the one with the
great optics and solid construction, the one that I thought I was buying
at a great price, IS SOLD BY THE IMPORTER FOR ONLY $450!!!!!!! :( ;( ;(
(That will teach me to do my homework before giving up to impulse buying...)
