Thanks for the generous offer. I am seriously thinking about it.
Like I said before it's not only the wider format that I
prefer but the convienance of readily developing prints that
concerns me. That's why I still use the 3D Magic and Pentax
which have even a smaller aspect ratio than the Realist!
But from the recent past discussions pro and con about the
quality, value, etc. of the stereo Realist let it be said I
was not open minded to try it out. I do like slides thou
and since there is no problem with developing as you have stated
I hereby accept your offer but on one condition.
E-mail me before hand how much this whole thing will cost me
because I do not want to fall in love with it and then have
to send it back.

On a slightly different topic, converting the masses to 3D,
I think it would be better they marketed a camera with
readily available processing. As long as this is not the
case I don't think it will ever take off, unless maybe they
come out with a ccd digital 3d camera. That might work in the
future when it will hopefully be cheaper and everybody has a
computer (or whatever it will be by then). Of course it will
be a long time before it approaches film quality but it has
alot of other advantages. For those that are already into 2d or 3d
photography you have a chance to get them into 3d or use
a Realist format respectively. But for the person of the street,
good luck. This market demands convience as I even did for along
time and still do. So how does anyone expect to get the masses
into it. Most people use a camera to take snapshots and have
something that can record their lifes and important events.
In this respect the Loreo is the only camera that comes close
to meeting that objective (plus no mounting required) except for
the poor marketing to the general public and crummy viewer which
incidently makes a great paperweight. Quality yea it doesn't compare
to a Realist format but the general public does not care. Look at
the popularity of single use, and the migration away from SLR's to
regular 35mm cameras.
People prefer convience more than quality.
