Regarding Greg's comments:

Another approach would be to have conventional lenses,at the appropriate
stereo base, bouncing 90 degrees off mirrors towards a center piece. This
area would encompass a vertical loop of film, and a pair of reversed images
would be side-by-side, requiring no transposing. I have a giff of this if
anyone's interested, as it's much more difficult to explain than show.
My question is: Why bother with APS? I can see definite advantages to it's
ease of loading, but I see no advantage to it's format. I really don't have
any problems loading conventional 35mm film. I still think it would be more
practical to design a better 35mm or medium format camera than an APS one.
By the way, is there a consensus yet from conventional photogs as to whether
the APS system is really taking off, or is it another fad like the "disk"camera?
