The conversions are excellent, although I'm frankly unimpressed with just about
any color-photo anaglyph I've ever seen. Oh, well, it's a color-only world these
days, I guess. Anyway, the whole section is very well done and worth a visit by
everyone in Photo-3D! I only wish it signalled a serious interest by ABC in 3D
television.
By the way, if anyone is interested in 3D television, there's a good article on
the history in the new 3D News, the newsletter of the Stereo Club of Southern
California, including a reprint of an article from a 1953 issue of Photography
Magazine describing an alternate-field (actually alternate-frame) television
system in development at that time. The images could be broadcast to a normal TV
set and the viewers were synchronized by a 60-cycle wall plug. I'll send a copy
to anyone who E-mails me their snail-mail address.
