Has there ever been a "Best of 3d" list in the Photo 3-D Digest? I think it
would be a great idea as to everyone's preferences as to cameras, films,
viewers, and other 3d paraphernalia. But I think it should go beyond simple
categories like " Best stereo camera ", but rather the best aspects of those
cameras. There's no right or wrong here, it's purpose is only to see what
other's prefer. Here's some of my own Bests to give you an example:

BEST ADVANCE SYSTEM, VINTAGE CAMERA: Illoca Rapid 2.8, for it's rapid action
winder. Very easy to make a succession of quick shots.

BEST CAMERA FOR LEFT HANDERS: Stereo Realist, as it was designed by a lefty!
Runner up is the Kindar, again designed by the same, Seton Rochewhite.

MOST ECONOMICAL VIEWER: The Viewmaster model C. I think every junk shop in
North America has one for 25 cents to $ 1.

BEST CAMERA TO EXPERIMENT WITH: The Nishika. It's plastic, making it easy to
cut apart, it's simple enough to modify to several different formats and
stereo bases, there's a ton of them out there, and they're CHEAP! It's not
uncommon to see them for $ 20 or less.

That's my start, who's next? From the serious to the ridiculous, anything
goes. Optics? Best reel? Camera that looks most like it's owner? If it
works, we can tally it all up later and see if there's any kind of consensus.

There's only one rule: NO FLAMING !!!

Sam
