Slide film in bulk and Pop Photo

I remember a while ago, a discusion of getting rolls of slide film in bulk
with mailers for proccessing.  Did anyone figure out what was the best price
and what store had that price? 

The September issue of Popular photography has one page dedicated to the
explanation on how to fuse a side by side 3-D image pair.  They also mention
Reel 3-D, and (Bob Manley's)3-D web.
