Exactly.  And I think that's why Dr. T's halogens make
a slide so much better.  Blue is already tough to see
but when you try to illuminate it with an ordinary orange
incandescent light, you may make the blue just too weak 
to be seen by the eye.  Any time you hit the physical 
limits of the eye or the film you stand to lose information.
