RE: Heartless John B. et al have been debating to let the stereo mount
stand or fall on its own and projectionist should at most focus for
thick or thin slides.
Back in the '50s when I cared about projection, belong to clubs and
owned one, the big rule was NOT to adjust the projection alignment once
the show started (as it screws around with the audience's eyes.) And
there are of course some in the audience who can't see or can't hold
their head (and glasses) straight. (Some may even fall asleep and look
at the floor).
Regarding the 'heartless' part "clubs are for learning etc." After being
Club President, Program manager etc. over the years, my definiition of a
club is:  "A place where those who take pictures are judged by those who
do not!" :-)  Heartless BobH
