Hi Helen - there really isn't a single FAQ - but there is a *lot* of
information available on the web-site/ftp-archives. Point your
browser to 

http://bobcat.etsu.edu/ftpdir/photo/

or use anonymous ftp at the same site.

There are also some other very informative web pages
which can explain a bunch of stuff (see the ftp directory
for pointers).

I'm also posting the current INFO file in another message since
it's been awhile since the whole list has seen it.
