3-D Wedding Photos

I too have had a simular experience. About 2 years ago, I attended a
wedding , and happened to have my realist with me( I always travel with my
realist). It was a last minute decision to shoot the wedding in stereo, and
was more of an experiment to see just how dificult it would be. The wedding
was outdoors, so lighting was not a problem. When I tried to explain to the
bride what I was doing, she really didnt understand, and thought I was
making somekind of shadowbox or something. The "pro" photog that they hired
was not very impressed with my camera, and thought it was "amusing".
Anyway, as it turned out, the images came out very well. The bride and
groom really loved the images, and told me that I was the only one who got
a shot of the bride and groom kissing!?! Not even the "pro" got it. Go
figure. Anyway, chalk up another one for the Realist....In a related note,
Is there a stereo photographer in the New York City area who would like to
shoot a wedding? My brother is getting married in a month or so, and I
would like to get a stereo photographer as a surprise. He is a big fan of
3-d but dosent shoot. :-(

P.S...I had an unrelated but interesting Realist moment a while ago. I went
to see the band "The Cramps" a while back and brought my ol' trusty
Realist. Midway through the show, I got a tap on my sholder. I thought it
was a bouncer or someone about to yell at me or take away my film. Instead
it was a roadie for The Cramps who was also holding a Realist and showing
me his camera. He was really happy to see someone else with a Realist I
guess. As it turns out, The Cramps are really into 3-D photography and had
their people also taking 3-D photos. The Band kept looking at me(I guess to
see if they knew me or something?) and would keep coming over to the spot
that I pushed myself into, which made for some good close-up photos( it was
at a small club). The images came out pretty well, and I was able to
forward the band a dupe set, through a friend of my brother who is
connected with the band. It seems that the many applications of 3-D
photography keep coming to the surface, but why is it still so unpopular?
(actually I know why, as I have been reading the threads)...Mike

>Like Dr. T. I also recently attended a friend's wedding
>(weekend before last) with my trusty Realist......
>The bride, a co-worker, just came by to say how much she enjoyed the slides.

>found interesting was that she said the "pro's" shots of
>the ceremony were all overexposed to the point that all
>detail in her dress was lost.......
