Thanks to Andrew Woods and Larry Berlin for responding to my
plea for info on creating the traditional double image random dot
stereogram. I think Larry solved my problem. If a single image
random dot stereogram program will allow the user to create an
image with an interocular spacing equal to one half of the width
of the image, then it would make a single file with the left and
right pairs on either side where they could be easily cut out as
independent images.
