Re: Freeviewing
I learned to freeview when I was 23 years old. Since then I have trained many
people how to freeview and also how to operate various stereo instruments for
map making tasks. Young people (early 20's or younger) seem to be able to pick
up the knack easily. Older people (40+) seem to have much more difficulty with
acquiring the same. I once taught a VERY determined fellow in his early 40's
how to operate a stereoplotter. He went home every evening and spent a couple
of hours on his sofa with an icepack over his eyes and forehead. After a
couple of of weeks, he could handle it. That fellow was the exception, but
he did it. He now manages a photogrammetric mapping firm and trains new people.
Maybe it's "no pain, no gain" ... ?
I don't know, but it's easy for me 'cause I done learnt it young.
