I don't know which definition of "stereo" you're referring to; but if an
image (or pair of images) contains "binocular disparity", and reading that
disparity leads to a perception of depth, it doesn't seem to matter
whether you use one or two eyes. I'd argue it's the brain that perceives
depth, not the eye(s). So it may not be "stereo", but it *is* 3D!
