7P Realist

I'll try to answer the questions regarding my 7P Realist that were posted in
this service.

1. The lens separation was left at 70mm. This spacing and the dimensions of
the camera, ie.total length, make it impossible to achieve anything more
than a good 7P format. Had the focal plate been longer, I might have been
able to achieve close to full frame. Mine will completely fill an RBT 8
mount,(wide) but about 1.5mm of the image on both outside edges does not
resolve itself as 3-d. Attempting to move the lenses closer together would
be a real headache. It would be easier to design and make a new camera.

2. Yes, I had considered doing Realist conversions, but not with my present
equipment. My lathe is just too small and thus every thing takes a long time
to make. No one would want to pay me even a minimum wage to have a camera
converted. Also, a MAJOR hurdle would be finding suitable lenses. I can
imagine the price of junk point-and-shoots(with good lenses) escalating. No,
I don't have any.

I'm in the process of developing a web page and as soon as it is up, I
should have some pics of the camera. I will keep this mail service posted
for interested parties.
