Yes, the new design will allow the film pair to be adjusted horizontally 
without any restrictions.  Vertically, I have decided against allowing 
for play, thereby eliminating the necessity of having to tape down every 
film pair.  The foldover feature is to prevent the formation of Newton 
rings in glass mounted slides by sandwiching the film pair between foil.  
The aluminum foil physically prevents the film from touching the inner  
surface of the glass.  If a stereo pair needs vertical alignment, it's 
better and simpler to just trim them so the pictures are in perfect 
registration.  When the new nibs are gently pressed down, they will hold 
the film in place, without the need for tape.
