Stereo adapter

Has anyone had experience with Porter's (mail order)
3-D Stereo Photo Adapter?  ($25.95)  It has a 55 mm
mounting ring and can be attached to a regular lens
on your SLR camera, creating side-by-side half-frame
images.  That might be a convenient travelling
companion to a SLR when you don't want to carry
two cameras!  I have an old stereotach viewer from
many years ago that holds one divided image slide
but I would prefer the print system.  Perhaps this
attachment has the same problem with flares, glares
and ghost images as I found on the Loreo.  If anyone
has tried this I'd appreciate hearing from you.
