Re upside down
I do not no the original reference for the work on using prism to invert a
subjects vision but I may be able to find it as I have come across it when
trying to find information on the phsychology of stereo vision. But I first
came across this work on a television programme here in the UK I remember
for instance the subject literaly geting out of bed on the wrong side and
hitting the wall.(There vision was also turned back to front or this may
have been another experiment) eventualy they aclimatised. In fact I believe
that because the image on the retina is back to front and upside down
anyway and the brain corrects this once aclimatised its task was easier and
it took slightly longer to reaclimatise when the prisms were removed.
