Great explanation George. I've noticed the detail part of it
when looking at books (3D Holleywood for example). With a viewer
you can see the half tone dots which reduces the realism. Freeviewing
from far away makes the images seem more real. I hadn't noticed the
stretch effect but I'm sure it helps in some photos.

Great idea for people with projectors, and especially those
who compete.
Get some zoom lenses and see what the image will
look like from various seats :)
