Apologies and stuff

To all viewmaster collectors who may have been offended by my attacks at
Tyco, my humblest apologies. My scorn should in no way have been connected
to the field of Viewmaster collecting, reels and format as it has always
been an essential part of 3D, as well as a very exciting and educational
medium. My views on commercialism and it's negative aspects have been well
covered by now, and will not change. If I'm not antagonized, I will no
longer discuss them.
Regarding my post offering the trade my Airequipt, I believe a deal has been
made, so thanks to all the rest for the interest.
Boy, I was just away a day and got 47 emails concerning 3D ! It will take me
a while to sift though them.
I had the opportunity to visit Stan White yesterday at his home in
St.George, Ontario. I'm sure most of you out there are familiar with this 3D
prodigy. Stan has been involved heavily in stereo for millions of years, and
the Author of " Beyond the Third Dimension", as well as countless articles
and slide shows through the NSA, etc, etc. It was his birthday, a mere 67.
I'm one of those poor unfortunates who had never seen a Stan White show, and
was heartbroken when he said he no longer does them. Most of you may be
aware of this incredible 3D tabletop creations, but I was blown away by the
stereo cards he produces from images from his custom 5x7 stereo rigs. He has
two of them one with 75mm Angulons, the other with 150mm sinars. He contacts
the black and white images onto paper, then subtilly hand colors them.
Absolutely incredible, the ultimate in 3D art. Most of his subjects are
early architecture and scenics, but the quality matches the best of the
Keystone/Underwood era, maybe even surpasses it. I'm sure anyone who owns a
Stan White original must treasure it.
I have my own 5x7 stereo rig, but I spend to much time experimenting and
little time shooting. I think Stan has inspired me to put down the hacksaw
for a while and get out a roll of film!
On the other hand, Stan is an outstanding tinkerer in his own right. He's
converted Nimslos,Sputnicks, made lots of twin rigs including a panoramic
ones. He's now making his own dags. The mind never stops working.
But I may not put my hacksaw away for long. Stan and I put our heads
together and may have come up with a new design for a stereo panoranic
camera. If the theory works you'll here more about it later on.
