Allen...all of the items you mentioned ARE considerations when we plan a
convention site. The normal convention pattern is East, Midwest, West,
South (or something like that).

Rochester was East,
Bellevue is West...
Richmond, East;
Green Bay, Midwest;
Orlando, South,
Next location - WEST

There is nothing to say that we couldn't do two Western sites in a row,
i.e., California, and say Phoenix (or SLC).

The main criteria is to have folks WILLING TO HELP!!!!!!!

This is critical to having a good convention. Only so much can be done
by officers who live hundreds of miles away and serve the NSA without
compensation.

Because of interest generated here on Photo-3D we have an interested
member who is looking at Orange County, California (Irvine I believe).
He is willing to find a hotel, negoitate a rate, get the confernence
center info set up, etc. A BIG job.

This is the kind of support we need from the members in the convention
area. If you can think of sites with enough local members that can host
a convention they can go "into the hat" with other potential locations
for future conventions.

We're here to listen.

Mary Ann Sell
NSA Vice President

P.S. Larry Moor, NSA President also subscribes to this board. He just
doesn't have as much time to "talk" here as I do.
