Dear 3D fellows,

Somewhere in february I found an annoncement for the
ImageTech 3Dfx camera on Joel Alpers' homepage.

I found out that there was a division of ImageTech
in the Netherlands. So I contacted them to ask
when the 3Dfx would be available over here.
The friendly lady told me that it wouldn't take more
than a couple of weeks, leaving me happy with that.

On the 10th of july I called again and I was very
'surprised' to hear, that, for some reason unknown to
her, all of the 3Dfx's coming from the USA, went
directly into the French market. Camera still not
available elsewhere in Europe !?

I wonder how this can be possible !!
Anybody any idea why all the stocks go to France ?
I'm definitely not going to France to collect one.
It's 600 km from where I live !

BUT, my youngest daughter (15) went there this summer
for her holidays. So I gave her instructions, a
picture of the camera and enough French Francs
to buy one. Case settled, I thought (optimistically).

When she came back, after three weeks, I had my rolls
of film ready.          Aaaaaaargghhh ! !

She visited every photoshop on her route, showing the
nice French people the picture, name (3Dfx - remember ?),
and a description of what she was looking for.
(Apart from Dutch and English, she is fluently in French)

Guess what ? Uuhhh ? 3Dfx ?? Stereo ??? (3D-questionmarks)

Nope, nothing, non (French for no), we don't understand
what you mean. Camera ? Come back after the siesta . .

Is there anybody out there who can calm me down ?
Preferably without medication.

IT'S A MATTER OF SELF-RESPECT !

(   Ordering from Joel will set me back another 20 bucks   )
( for p&p, International Money Order and things like that. )
(          That's too much for a $34.95 camera !           )
