My camera might take a flash.

My Graphlex StereoGraphic will take a modern flash into it's hotshoe, I
tried this the other day at a camera shop. It fit quite nice. I couldn't
get it to work as there was no batteries in it. But I'm assuming itwill
work, it's got the same contacts joined as the older bulb type flash
would have. I don't know about the timing, some people say it would
misfire, some say it won't.
Anybody have the real story. I'd like to take inside pictures before I'm
too old to see them.
