I bought a tripod many years ago where the central column could
be swung from the normal vertical to horizontal. Putting it 
horizontal made a nice slide bar. I used it for hyper- and hypo-
stereo, as well as normal stereo with a 120 film camera. Mine
was labelled Spiratone, but I later saw an identical one labelled
Velbon.

I saw something for making closeups which I think would make a
neat slidebar a while ago. I think Porter's catalog. I'll report
if I can find it again.
