This rang a muffled bell back in the cobwebs of my mind. Didn't some other
company do something like this a few years back? I seem to remember some
(relatively) cheap kid's video camera that produced a badly degraded B&W image
that had to be patched into a VCR to be recorded. (This back in the days when an
"inexpensive" camcorder was somewhere up near $1000.) Any other old-timers
remember anything like this?
