And the exponents of Sunny-16 advocate using the table that comes on
the film boxes as a guide for deviating from Sunny-16. Last time I
looked, there wasn't an exposure adjustment recommendation for smog,
volcanic eruption or high altitude. So what's the novice to do? Not
take pictures? No! Whip out the trusty meter! All lookup tables
conveniently built-in!

I've gotten private correspondence from a list member who says he has
a book prepared for the Navy by the ASA listing the appropriate exposure
compensation for just the conditions I mentioned. However, I've not
received permission to repost it. Perhaps Charlie Hotchkiss would like
to comment here?
