Realist questions/comments

Sorry Peter, this is misinterpreted. What Reel 3-D is saying is that
the bottom of your flash will not work on the hot shoe of the adapter,
not the hot shoe of the Realist! The hot shoe in the Realist works fine,
provided that you make the physical connection (perhaps by filling the
bump in the Realist as I have done, or modifying the flash as others have
done). What appears like a "hot shoe" in the adapter is not "hot". To
connect the adapter with your flash you will need a PC cord to put in
the adapter's plug and the flash. Is this clear now?

It's a mater of getting used to a routine... I don't miss shots with
the Realist because of this...

OK... But I don't use the rangefinder that often (almost never).

Working under subzero temperatures and trying to multi-expose a neon
sign, I wish I had an earlier Realist without this damn exposure
prevention button!
I follow the standard routine of advancing the film immediately after
I take a picture and cocking the shutter right before taking the next one.
Works for me.
The main reason I like the Realist is that this is the only stereo camera
I have used! (talking about experience...)
