RE: Lincoln Kamm gives good reasons why he likes his Revere!
I don't know what a poopy head is but is sounds scatological to me? :-)
(Dr. T. has privately explained the Greek translation which turns out to
be the dictionary one among others.)
I suspect we are seeing the angst between engineers and artists!
Dr. T. and I and engineers and appreciate brilliant design in a day
when ergonomics were unknown! Kamm is an artist and like my wife doesn't
want any damn machines bothing him.
I forgot to mention the Realist lens cover is a great lenshade that
cannot be lost (only broken!) I don't hate the Revere 33 with its auto
wind (and cocking lever you can also forget to cock for hyper stereos
etc.) The superimposed RF is not as intuitive, but neither are very easy
on a picket fence. (These two design ape the Leica or the Contax) A
really good split image design as seen on the Bantam Special is quite
exciting.) The Realist was part of a thought out system down to the dot
on the sprocket, the others are copycat jump on the bandwagon designs.
(My choice in these is the TDC VIVID as the perfect stereo..ortho and
Sunny-16 calculator built-in) BobH
