Wait a hold a minute! I don't remember my stuff about polarizers, but the
first time the light goes through the polarizer it loses the half of the
light that isn't parallel to the orientation and 10% of the stuff that is.
The next polarizer (polaroid glasses) loses the amount that got partially
diffused because of the screen and again 10%? of the remaining light that is
parallel. If the screen completely diffused the light then what you said
would be true. But since it reflects the light (reversing the orientation of
the light), there is definately more than 16% that makes it back to the eye.
