I think we may have reached the end of the path of argument - for me,
for a while.
All I can say to:
>His lens uses the separation of the pupils to create
>the parallax, not the "out of focusness".
...is: "No, it doesn't."
I don't think I have any more to say in response to your: "No it's not."
>However! Bill's system does _not_ use the "out of focusness" to provide
>the depth cues.
That is a strong argument and seems to put us both with that old lady.
i.e. "Wo ist das Rindfleisch?"
Let's just say you believe (whatever your faith is based on) that
single lens 3-D is actually 2 lens 3-D in disguise and I will focus
on it as something which is a different approach.
I also have a better understanding now of what Paul Rizer says at
the end of the AT&T commercial advertizing "15 cents a minute, any
time, to anybody, anywhere."
(Sheesh, even what I type is coming out blurry - do you suppose it
might be in 3-D?!)
P.S. On another topic, is the world round or flat?
;-) :-) O-) oo-) |-) -)
