Ok, now I am going to have to find the book written by an attorney where this
idea was stated! <smile> I am more familiar with copyright than patent, so if
this is wrong, then everyone ignore my previous message!
One question I have for you re: copyright though is that I though you are
protected even without registration if it was created after 1979(?) and it isn't
published material? Even if it is published, I thought it was also protected
although if you hadn't registered within 3 months of publication, you lose some
of the protection. I called the U.S. copyright office about a month ago and
this was some of what was said to me. They also said that if your work is
displayed on the internet, pretty soon that will be considered published.
(I know this is somewhat off-topic for 3D but I know many of us here create
images and since we have an attorney here might as well take advantage of it!)
