All of these methods seem to be dependent on seeing depth
relative to things that are outside of the picture proper.
Wouldn't it be better to see if you can see depth within
the scene proper?  I'm not sure I follow your logic here.
Likely I'm misreading you and I apologize.  Can you explain
further?  Thanks
