Destroying books

        Perhaps I should clarify that I didn't mean to suggest that no
book, magazine, or leaflet should ever be destroyed, especially in private
use.  The intention of my post was to support alternate ways to gather
information WITHOUT having to resort to ripping things out.

        Hmmph...rrrrrrrrriiiiippppppp......there, I just ripped a TV Guide
in half just to show that I am capable of selective preservation (of
course, it is also now going straight into the recycle box).
