Yes, my wife is a (D.)M.D.  :-)

What does you M.D. say when shown the proof (as opposed to saying that "it's
proven that...") ? Are there any asumptions being made in the proven case?  Is 
your M.D. single eyed?  :-)

P.S. - Practicing doctors *do* seem not to take chances with new ways of doing things
       unless it's proven to them that it's a better way first, rather than
       just trying everything that "can be better".  Personally,
       I'm glad they tend to be generally conservative in that way.  Almost
       everything's got a downside "gotcha", and hopefully they don't figure
       out what that is *on me*.   I don't like hearing the word "OOOPS!!" when
       I'm a surgery patient.  :-)
