Just heard a "review" of Laura Esquivel's latest novel as a segment
on an NPR program. Novel includes an audio CD with instructions to
play certain tracks during the reading of the novel.
The reviewer called it a "gimmick" and that a gimmick could not
save the dull story of the novel. He predicted that if you bought it,
you would end up shelving it - next to your old 3-D glasses!
What nerve!
