Realist upgrade?

Has anyone (George?) played with the idea of replacing those miserable,
vignetting David White 3.5's with something really good?

I'd imagine well over 50% of extant Realists with 3.5 lenses vignette at
f/11. Mine does. I'm ready to send my camera to Dr. T for a lens upgrade
($35 ? :-)
