The article is titled "Realist or Realascope?", writen by Wolfgang and Mary
Ann Sell, both distinquished members of photo-3d and world-renowed VM
collectors.  It was published in "Stereoscopy", Ser. 2, No, 19 (June 1994).
This is the magazine of the International Stereoscopic Union (ISU).

The modification was apparently done by View Master so that VM
photographers can take 7p pictures.  Modified cameras were used until they
switched to twin Nikons.  The Sells own one of these extremely rare
collectibles.  The article is illustrated with stereo pairs and engineering
drawings.
