If that is true.. how come I CAN run "Descent" in 640x480 mode with 
the Cybershades ?

I dont think the glasses themselves care what the resolution of the 
screen is, how can they know it anyway.. they are being driven from 
the parallel port.  The LCDBios driving software simply "flips" the 
state of a line on the parallel port in order to "flip" the glasses.
