Lighted VM viewer:

I was at the local Toy's R' Us today with my wife, doing a little early
Christmas shopping.  I purchased a lighted View-Master viewer.  I 
haven't seen any talk of this viewer on the list, so I thought I'd give a 
brief review.

The lighted viewer is very close in size to the standard viewer being
sold these days.  It's a little more orange than the standard red 
viewer is.  Viewer is made in China.  Lenses seem pretty comparible
to standard US made viewer.  Mechanical construction is rather poor
compared to US made viewer.  All the units I tested at the store had
sticky advances that only sometimes aligned the pair correctly.  This
problem is also in the unit that I purchased.  Bulb is powered by 2 
"AA" batteries.  The viewer has a diffuser in the front to allow you to
steal some light, which is a good thing because the bulb is _very_ dim.
I paid $6.99 for the lighted viewer.  Printed on the package is "stock
number 2053".
