Kodachrome in UK

3 weeks of subscribing to photo 3d and politely reading the
wisdom of my more knowledgable fellow enthusiasts - and
now for the first time a topic comes up on which I might just
be able to say something without making a fool of myself !
Phil Palmer asks about Kodachrome in the UK. I've always
been delighted with the results from their 25 ASA film. Great
colour (no , that is how we spell it over here - correctly). The
turn around time is usually 5/6 days including post. If you cut
off the corner of the pre-paid processing envelope they will
process and return uncut . The film comes back rolled in a
cardboard tube , with a paper strip interleaved. They still offer
Realist format mounting - about #2.20 extra for a 24 exp. roll.
I've always gone for Kodachrome because more experienced
users advised me it is the only film to resist fading with time.
Is this still a fair comment? Thanks to all you regulars who
make this site more interesting than even the best soap opera-
drama ,wisdom , characters mysteriously appearing and
disappearing- its got it all. Will Wolfie ever get to view his
mistaken prints , or will he be so busy reading everyone's
advice that he'll never get away from the computer? Tune in
tomorrow same time , same channel.
PS will someone please tell me if my message violates the 70
collumn format- Im new to these electronic devices.
Best wishes.
John Bradley.
