NO!!!! It is a total and shameless rip-off!

I am always cautious when I comment on prices for used stereo equipment.
The market is usually the guide. I do not like to say that this item
does not worth this price because the minute someone pays this price then
the item is worth this price.

So, you can go ahead and buy it at $280 and break the record of more money
ever paid for a Nimlso after 1988 (in 1988 this camera hit the clearance
selves and you could buy it new for $26 in the USA, NY mail order)

Or, you can look around and get one "used" (many times not really used) for
much less. Some people have paid $20 or less in camera shows or garage
sales. I have sold a few of them for $65 or $85 in case w/flash. Some 3-d
dealers are asking around $100 or slightly more.

Many people in this list say that this is a good choice for first camera
since it is very lightweight and easy to use (fully automatic). Others
find certain disadvantages (smaller interocular, half-frame size, waisting
half the roll, lack of manual control) and prefer to use stereo cameras
from the 50s which, even though they are not as easy to use, might produce
better results, especially with slide film . You can get a good Kodak or
Realist stereo camera for $125. It's up to you.

Good luck and welcome to this exciting hobby!

PS. If you can search past photo-3d digests you will find lots of info and
discussion on the Nimslo.
