No, it's GOOD!  You have the Realist advantage
of the viewer on the bottom allowing the "forehead
trick" -- while still having a nice user-interface
with a cocking-coupled lever film advance and clear
large shutter/apeture dials.  It also has a very large
image in the viewfinder.

Congratulations!  The plating on the front metal of
mine is a bit on the icky-side, but it works great.

It also was my first Realist-format which makes it 
extra special!  :-)

It was Mike Watter's first as well.  Quite a camera!  :-)

P.S. - If talk is far between on the Realist 45, it's
       probably because it isn't one of the most popular.
       I think it was a relatively late comer that Realist
       OEM'ed from Illoca for their low-end entry that's
       easy-to-use.
