The November Pop Photography did a comparison of the new Pro Color
slide films. Their opinion was that the Ektachromes rendered much
more accurate skin tones, particularly the E100SW. The Fuji skin
tones were noted as being 'ruddy' and 'orange'. I have used the
new Ektachromes and do like the new saturated colors without the
excess contrast that Velvia gives. The grain on the 100 ASA is
tolerable, but it isn't as fine as Velvia/K25/K64. The Pop
Photo article shows the new Ektachrome grain to be about the
same as the Fuji. Check it out for yourself. The article
should still be on the newstands!
