No, it's not - this seems to bee some sort of order-number (which is
the same on all Belplasca's).
The serial-# is found inside the camera, on the right hand side, just
when you pull the latch to remove the back.
Michael Kaplan suggested to add the lens serial No's as well. GREAT idea!
Let me summarize what we had so far (now in numeric order):
Proud owner Serial-# Lens Serial-#'s Flash-contact
--------------------- -------- --------------- -------------
Alexander Klein 01168 3934747/3934219 X and L
Bob Aldridge 5088
Bob Aldridge 5270
Michael Kaplan 05315 3928102/3928142 X
George Themelis 06814
Eric Goldstein 9xxx
which still leaves us with a theoretical total number of
(9000-1168)+1=7,833.
It's very interesting to see that Michael Kaplan's lens serial-#'s are
LOWER than mine, although he has a much higher serial-# of the camera.
It would also be interesting to find out where they discontinued the
L contact (L = lamp).
Bob and eric: are your serial #'s also 5 digit with a leading "0"?
Anyone else?
